Course Description

Borderline Personality Disorder: Confronting the Stigma is specifically designed to offer clinicians, relatives, and consumers a forum to better understand the issues that create the surplus stigma of this challenging disorder.

 

Internationally recognized research faculty will be joined by family members, consumers, clinicians, and advocates to present up-to-date information pertaining to the aspects of the stigma. Topics will focus on aspects such as Advocacy and Future Directions; Impulsivity and Consequences; Research on Stigma and BPD; Self stigma and Shame in Women with BPD; Time for a New Name?; The Lived Experience: personal perspectives.
