Conference Information - Program Overview

APA: The Lifespan Learning Institute is approved by the American Psychological Association to offer 14 hours continuing education for psychologists. The Lifespan Learning Institute maintains responsibility for the program.

CAADAC: This course is approved by the CAADAC (Provider # 2N-97-347-0199) for 14 hours of continuing education credit.

Clinical Social Workers: The Lifespan Learning Institute is approved by the California Society of Clinical Social Work for 14 hours (Provider #CE137).

CMA: The Lifespan Learning Institute is a CMA-accredited provider. Physicians attending this course may report up to 14 hours of Category 1 credit toward the California Medical Association’s Certificate in Continuing Medical Education and the American Association Physician’s Recognition Award.

MCEP: The Lifespan Learning Institute is approved by the California Psychological Association as a MCEP provider (Provider # LIF002). This course has been submitted for review to the MCEP accrediting agency for 14 hours of credit.  * For MCEP certificate, please add $10 processing fee to the Tuition Fee.

MFT/LCSW: This course meets the qualifications for 14 hours of continuing education as required by the California Board of Behavioral Science (Provider #PCE 553).

NBCC: This course meets the qualifications for 14 hours of continuing education credits required by the National Board of Certified Counselors (Course code: SP 264).

Nursing: This course meets the requirements for 14 hours of nursing credit (BRN#CEP11852).

Lifespan Learning Institute

Lifespan Learning Institute is a non-profit 501c(3) organization, committed to offering physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, psychoanalysts, clinical social workers, and other mental health professionals opportunities to learn about the latest theoretical research and practical developments in the mental health field. The goal is continued striving for excellence in meeting the mental health needs of the individual and the community. This commitment is rendered through the resolve of the Lifespan Learning Institute to offer a variety of forms for the dissemination of recent research and clinical developments on a broad list of topics of interest to mental health professionals, which are queried through evaluations, periodic mailings, personal consultations, and planning meetings.

NATIONAL EDUCATION ALLIANCE
for Borderline Personality Disorder

The National Education Alliance for Borderline Personality Disorder (NEA-BPD) is a non-profit 501c(3) organization whose mission is: To raise public awareness, provide education, promote research on borderline personality disorder, and enhance the quality of life of those affected by this serious mental illness. The goals of NEA-BPD are to lead family education programs, host annual conferences, promote workshops, sponsor regional meetings, establish family centers, conduct family research, publish educational materials, and produce information audiotapes.

NEA-BPD is the sponsor of the Family Connections program, a 12-week
course where participants learn the most current information on BPD and
associated symptomatology, acquire coping skills based on Dialectical
Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques and develop a support network. For more
